Despite being named after a specific match type, the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view holds host to a wide range of matches, with most of them tending to have WrestleMania consequences.

While the Chamber matches usually receive most of the spotlight, there have been several great matches over the years that have taken place at the Elimination Chamber event.

Since the pay-per-view’s inception in 2010, here are the 10 best non-Elimination Chamber matches that took place at the Elimination Chamber event.

7. AJ Styles vs Aleister Black (Elimination Chamber 2020)

This was intended to be the start of so much more, as Aleister Black was one of Paul Heyman’s personal projects when he was the Executive Director of Raw back in 2020.

Styles was about to enter a WrestleMania feud with the Undertaker, but first had created a bit of a problem with Aleister Black. The O.C. attacked Black backstage on a prior episode of Raw, with Black having to fight through Gallows and Anderson to get a match with Styles, which Styles quickly won due to Black wrestling two matches prior.

A No Disqualification rematch was set up for the pay-per-view, and it was everything you would expect from these two incredible athletes. Styles continued planting the seeds with Taker, at one point catching a Moonsaulting Black in position for a Tombstone Piledriver.

Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson began assaulting Black until the Undertaker’s gong sounded, and he took out the Good Brothers, before the gong sounded again, distracting Styles, which allowed Black to hit Black Mass and earn a huge victory.

A forgotten gem from the actually pretty good pre-COVID 2020 Raw, which should have led to so, so much more for Black.
