The WWE Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event is set to be a huge show for the company.
With the PLE being the first to take place in Italy, this historic night might undergo some changes before the company visits Turin on Sunday, May 31.
From added stipulations to new matches on the card, these changes will cause a ripple effect throughout this massive premium live event.
Here are seven potential changes to WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
7. Penta vs. Ethan Page vs. Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans For WWE Intercontinental Title Added To The Card
At the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Penta defeated Ethan Page to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
Ahead of this title bout, other contenders have stepped to get their opportunity at the IC Championship, such as Rusev and Je’Von Evans.
It seems like the pieces are being put in place for a four-way showdown for the title sooner rather than later.
Wanting to bolster this card even more, Penta defending the IC Title against Page, Rusev and Evans could make for a potential show stealer at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
6. If Becky Lynch Gets Disqualified, She Will Lose WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship To Sol Ruca
Becky Lynch got herself disqualified in a non-title match against Sol Ruca on the May 23 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After the match, “The Man” attacked Ruca and delivered multiple Manhandle Slams to her rival.
Later in the evening, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis let Lynch know that Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had made a rematch for the Women’s IC Title against Ruca for the WWE Clash In Italy premium live event.
Following the result of their non-title bout, this rematch should get a stipulation that if Becky loses via DQ, she will lose the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on May 31.
5. The MFTs Get Shot At Damian Priest & R-Truth’s WWE Tag Team Championships
Over the past few weeks, The MFTs have made it clear that they want a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships.
Fans have seen Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga targeting Damian Priest and R-Truth in a series of attacks.
With WWE Clash In Italy 2026 just a few days away, another title bout could be added to the card with Priest and Truth having to defend the gold.
Priest and Truth facing Sikoa and The Tongans could make for an interesting title clash in Turin, Italy that might see the gold changing hands.
4. Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi 2 Gets No DQ Stipulation
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in what was the biggest win of his career.
After the match, Lesnar took his gloves and boots off, leaving them in the ring to signal that he intended to retire.
Then on the May 18 episode of Monday Night Raw, “The Beast Incarnate” made his return and attacked Femi with four straight F-5s.
With Paul Heyman presenting Raw GM Adam Pearce with a contract for this WrestleMania 42 rematch at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, this bout could become a No DQ Match that might be the highlight of this PLE card.
3. Everyone Banned From Ringside For Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill WWE Women’s Championship Match
At the WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two premium live event, Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to win the WWE Women’s Championship.
After making her return to lay out her rival, Cargill issued the challenge for a title rematch at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
At the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cargill, Michin and B-Fab defeated Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Following this pinfall loss for Rhea, there could be an added stipulation to Ripley vs. Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship with everyone being banned from ringside to make sure this contest is one-on-one.
2. Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER For Undisputed WWE Championship Gets A Two-Out-Of-Three-Falls Stipulation
On the May 1 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, GUNTHER made a surprise appearance on the blue brand and attacked Cody Rhodes, laying him out and making it clear that he wanted the Undisputed WWE Championship.
After having Paul Heyman arrange the contract for a title contest at WWE Clash In Italy, GUNTHER tried to play games, which led to him having to defeat Royce Keys to earn the opportunity against Rhodes.
Following “The American Nightmare” laying him out with a Cross Rhodes the week prior, “The Ring General” got a measure of revenge by putting a sleeper on Rhodes following his bout with Sami Zayn on the May 22 episode of SmackDown.
Heading into WWE Clash In Italy 2026, the company could make Cody vs. GUNTHER a best two-out-of-three-falls match to determine the better man and who deserves to walk out of Turin, Italy as the Undisputed WWE Championship.
1. If Jacob Fatu Loses To Roman Reigns In Tribal Combat, He Must Acknowledge “The OTC” & Join The Bloodline
At WWE Backlash 2026, Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, “The Samoan Werewolf” continued his assault on his cousin and laid him out with the Tongan Death Grip.
Following Fatu destroying Reigns and The Usos, The Bloodline got a measure of revenge with a three-on-one beatdown on the May 18 edition of WWE Raw.
This led to Fatu issuing a challenge to Reigns for a Tribal Combat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
Considering the Tribal Combat is a No DQ, Anything Goes Match where the loser must acknowledge the winner as “The Tribal Chief,” there could be an added stipulation that Fatu must join The Bloodline if he suffers a loss on May 31 in Turin, Italy.
