On Saturday, May 10, WWE will present its Backlash premium live event from St Louis, Missouri.
The show will be headlined by John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, but the event could see a lot more than that happen.
Outside of the matches announced and teased, WWE could potentially deliver on some surprises, which would include heel turns for various stars.
Here are seven heel turns to potentially take place at WWE Backlash 2025.
7. Motor City Machine Guns
On the April 25 SmackDown after WrestleMania 41, the Street Profits defeated DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns in a TLC Match to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.
This was the third straight loss for Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in their attempts to regain the title since they lost it in December 2024.
After failing to recapture the gold, this should lead to some kind of change in the former WWE Tag Team Champions.
The Motor City Machine Guns turning heel at WWE Backlash 2025 could see them refocus and have a better showing the next time they compete against The Street Profits for the titles.
