AEW
This Sunday, April 12, All Elite Wrestling will present its second pay-per-view of the year with AEW Dynasty 2026 from Vancouver.
This show has already announced six matches for the main card and the Zero Hour pre-show, but there is still some time for new additions and changes to be made for the major event.
With only two TV shows remaining before this Sunday’s PPV, some last minute changes will alter how this card and overall event may look.
Here are seven potential late changes to AEW Dynasty 2026.
7. Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin Turned Into A No DQ Match
In the weeks leading to AEW Dynasty 2026, MJF has formed an alliance with The Don Callis Family in an attempt to keep Darby Allin away from his AEW World Title.
After paying off the faction, The Don Callis Family have sent their talent after Allin in a series of attacks.
Then on the April 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, Callis announced that Andrade El Idolo will face Darby at Dynasty 2026 and if Allin wins, he will earn a shot at the AEW World Title.
Now that this bout is official for AEW Dynasty 2026, fans could get a No DQ stipulation between Andrade and Darby to cut both men loose in an all-out brawl.
6. Willow Nightingale TBS Championship Open Challenge Added To The Card
On the April 2 episode of AEW Collision, Willow Nightingale had a TBS Championship Open Challenge that was accepted by the returning Hikaru Shida.
After a spirited effort from the former AEW Women’s World Champion, Nightingale pulled out the victory over Shida.
Now, the April 8 episode of AEW Dynamite will see another open challenge that has already been accepted by the returning Queen Aminata.
If Nightingale is able to get by this bout, Willow could have a third straight TBS Championship Open Challenge at the Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view where fans may see another returning star.
5. The Hurt Syndicate To Reveal New Member Of The Faction
Another trio of returning stars who recently came back to All Elite Wrestling were The Hurt Syndicate.
Appearing in a backstage segment on the April 2 edition of AEW Collision, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley teased wanting to add more talent to their ranks.
This could lead to weeks of recruiting for the group to bring in a new member or AEW could have the stable introduce their latest acquisition at Dynasty 2026.
The Hurt Syndicate introducing a new member for their faction at AEW Dynasty 2026 would give a memorable moment for the event this Sunday in Vancouver.
4. Jack Perry vs. Ricochet For The AEW National Championship
At AEW Revolution 2026, Jack Perry won the 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royale and became the new AEW National Champion.
Since then, Ricochet has kept his sights on the title he became the inaugural champion of after not being pinned to lose his gold at the pay-per-view.
While Perry has stepped back in the ring since Revolution, he has not defended the National Title as of yet.
With only five matches announced on the main card at AEW Dynasty 2026, the company could add Perry vs Ricochet in a rematch for the AEW National Championship to the card for April 12.
3. Mistico & JetSpeed Defending The AEW World Trios Championship Against A New Don Callis Family Trio
At the AEW Revolution 2026 pay-per-view, Mistico and JetSpeed defeated The Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis, Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW World Trios Championship.
Since then, Mistico, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin ‘The Jet’ Knight have successfully defended their gold against a pair of Don Callis Family trios on the March 22 Slam Dunk Sunday edition of AEW Collision and on the April 3 CMLL Super Viernes event.
The Don Callis Family could assemble a new three-man team consisting of Okada, Davis and Konosuke Takeshita to go after the titles and try to bring them back to the stable.
Having to see Okada and Takeshita work together to bring the Trios Titles back to the Family would be intriguing with Mistico and JetSpeed wanting to pull off their third straight successful defense at AEW Dynasty 2026.
2. FTR vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage For The AEW World Tag Team Championship Becomes A Street Fight
FTR have had a target on their backs ever since they regained the AEW World Tag Team Championship last year.
That target got even bigger when Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made their return at AEW Revolution 2026, looking for revenge on FTR for their assault on Adam’s wife Beth Copeland back at All Out 2025.
Over the past few weeks, Cope and Cage have been looking for vengeance on Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler with steel chairs in hand.
Wanting to have no restraints during their scheduled AEW World Tag Team Championship match on April 12, the company could make FTR vs Cope and Cage a Street Fight that might be one of the more anticipated bouts at Dynasty 2026.
1. Chris Jericho In-Ring Return Added To The Card
On the April 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho made his return to the company for the first time in a year.
Receiving a positive reaction from his hometown of Winnipeg, Jericho simply said four words, “AEW, Winnipeg, I’m home!”
Now, the April 8 AEW Dynamite will see Jericho address this return and could give fans a glimpse at what he will be doing moving forward.
Jericho could potentially announce that he will have his in-ring return at the AEW Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view, adding something else to the card without revealing who will be his opponent for this major event in Vancouver.
