Two weeks ago on WWE NXT, former TNA World Champion Mike Santana made his official debut as a member of the NXT roster following the expiration of his TNA contract.

Now going by Cruz Montana, he becomes the latest major free agent to make their way over to WWE NXT, and there are seemingly more on the way.

On last night’s episode of NXT, Robert Stone was shown backstage talking to another free agent on the phone, which has drummed up intrigues in regards to potential new free agent faces joining the NXT brand.

Here are 7 potential new WWE NXT free agent signings.

Eric Young

Following TNA’s Slammiversary event, it was announced by TNA Wrestling that Eric Young had been released from the company.

Young since confirmed that he had requested his release from TNA, with his last match being a defeat to Ricky Sosa on the Slammiversary pre-show.

Following his release, it was reported that Young was expected to join NXT as a player coach, which would be the third time he has signed with the company.

Young’s prior departures came due to him not wanting to work with the previous regime, and he has always maintained a healthy relationship with Paul Levesque.

Richard Holliday

Richard Holliday is another free agent name that is reportedly expected to sign with WWE after seemingly finishing up his independent dates.

After impressing management with his performance at tryouts, the independent wrestling star stood out thanks to his confidence, poise and experience.

Holliday has been a staple of the independent scene for around a decade now, so he would immediately add an instant impact to the roster.

The Most Marketable man in wrestling calling Stone directly would make a lot of sense for his arrival.

Mara Sade

Mara Sade was initially released by WWE back in May 2025

As several names confirm their departure from TNA Wrestling, among them was former WWE NXT star Mara Sade (Jakara Jackson).

Sade joined TNA after initially being released from WWE last May, where she has continued to grow her game outside of the WWE system,

With Sade now once again a free agent, her returning to the NXT women’s roster would make for a great moment and add an already established name to the division.

WWE reportedly has some interest in bringing back Sade following the end of her TNA departure.

Enzo Amore

For a number of months now there has been speculation about the potential WWE return of Enzo Amore.

Enzo had previously reportedly been backstage at a recent NXT show on May 19, and with Big Cass now back in the fold without Enzo on Monday Night Raw, questions remain about his status.

While Big Cass is flying solo on Monday Night Raw, it might be too late for he and Enzo to reunite on the red brand.

However, Enzo’s gift of gab would add some firepower to the men’s roster in NXT.

Zilla Fatu

Zilla Fatu, the son of the legendary Umaga, has made waves on the independent scene in recent years, including a match with AEW World Champion MJF

Zilla Fatu is a name that has long been talked about as a potential WWE signing for all the obvious reasons.

Many had suspected we could have seen Zilla make his debut at SummerSlam to help out the Bloodline, but that ended up not being the case, with the Bloodline coming up short in their six-man tag team match, while Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins with no interference.

However, it was reported recently that WWE was looking to sign Zilla, and with the Bloodline currently doing their own thing on Raw, Zilla starting out in NXT would be a nice introduction to the WWE system for him.

Zilla is a highly anticipated arrival, so his arrival could also turn some new fans onto NXT.

Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox)

Another former WWE name among the recent departures from TNA Wrestling is Victoria Crawford, formerly known as Alicia Fox.

During her time with TNA, Crawford had actually been aligned on screen with Robert Stone, as part of the Diamond Collective with Tessa Blanchard and Mila Moore.

With Crawford now a free agent, she would make another veteran name to work with the women on NXT in a similar way to Nattie right now.

With her and Stone’s connection, she would definitely have his number if she planned to make the move.

Hiromu Takahashi

A long speculated WWE NXT arrival is former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi.

It was reported that both Takahashi and EVIL (Naraku) had left NJPW back in February and were expected to sign with WWE, starting out in NXT.

However, only Naraku has made his mark on the brand as of yet, though recent WWE trademarks seem to point at the impending arrival of Hiromu.

With Stone teasing another major free agent signing, we could finally see Hiromu Takahashi arrive in NXT.
