Over the past year, WWE has introduced multiple titles into the company across all three major brands in Raw, SmackDown and NXT.
The NXT Women’s North American Championship crowned its inaugural champion last June, while the WWE Women’s United States and Intercontinental Championships debuted in December 2024 and January 2025 respectively.
These titles gave the women’s division more opportunities, but there are plenty of older championship concepts that could come into play in the near future.
Here are seven old WWE championships to potentially return.
7. Hardcore Championship
During the Attitude Era, the Hardcore Championship provided WWE with a title that gave mid-card stars something to fight for.
Giving several different stars a chance to get the spotlight, the Hardcore Title became a haven for talent like Crash Holly, Al Snow and Hardcore Holly to get plenty of TV time during the hottest period in company history.
The Hardcore Championship’s successor, the 24/7 Championship did something similar for the promotion during the late 2010s into the 2020s.
With Travis Scott reintroducing the design as a gift given to him by the company, fans could see the legendary strap make a full-time comeback and give underneath stars a chance to have intense brawls over the old title.
