7 Possible Final Casino Ladder Match Entrants

7 Possible Final Casino Ladder Match Entrants

The Casino Ladder Match should do well to steal the show at Double or Nothing this Saturday. One of the more intriguing things regarding the match is the mysterious ninth entrant. AEW revealed the final entrant in the match won’t be revealed until the show so this has left fans wondering who it could be. As such we have created a list of seven potential stars it could be.

7. Drew Gulak

First on the list is the recently released Drew Gulak. Gulak had been with WWE since 2016, being primarily used as a 205Live performer. He had a brief run with Daniel Bryan as his training partner before choosing to leave the company when his contract expired.

It remains to be seen what Gulak is looking to do next with his career. He is a mat wizard and could easily find his way into the ranks of AEW if he desired. He isn’t a big enough star to necessitate waiting for crowds to return to introduce him but it would be a pleasant surprise if he showed up at Double or Nothing.

Probably wouldn’t win the match but it would be fun.

6. Shawn Spears

One of a few signed AEW stars to be on this list, Shawn Spears is noticeably missing from the Double or Nothing card. This is perhaps only notable because of his recent change in attitude while he has beaten up enhancement talent.

Following his loss to Cody in the TNT Championship tournament, Spears appeared more and more frustrated. This resulted in him lashing out and viciously beating his next few opponents. Spears would probably be an anticlimactic final addition to this match but he would fit given the level of most of the other competitors.

5. Christopher Daniels

Christopher Daniels is currently the only member of SoCal Uncensored not to be included in the Casino Ladder Match. Scorpio Sky and Kazarian have already claimed their spots but Daniels has been left out. This is odd considering he has the best singles pedigree of the group and he could be a believable contender with some rehabbing.

Daniels has portrayed more of a washed-up character in AEW but this could be the time to change that. A surprise appearance and possibly winning the Casino Ladder Match would be a big step in the right direction for Daniels and it would allow for a number of interesting moments with all three SCU members fighting as adversaries.

4. Jeff Cobb

Jeff Cobb made a memorable debut for AEW earlier this year. He was brought in to be Chris Jericho’s hired gun to take out Jon Moxley and while he wasn’t able to defeat Moxley, Cobb made sure to give him a hell of a beating. Cobb has yet to sign anywhere and primarily works for Ring of Honor. He has expressed an interest in working with AEW again and what better way to reintroduce yourself than becoming the number one contender.

Cobb and Moxley obviously have history and it would make a ton of sense to have Cobb come in to retrieve the AEW World Championship for the Inner Circle. Not to mention he is a tremendous performer and would only stand to make the match and AEW as a whole better.
