The WWE ID program, short for WWE Independent Development, is a major shake-up to how wrestling’s biggest company approaches recruitment and talent development, allowing the company to partner up with wrestling schools and independent wrestlers for a pathway to NXT.
On November 7, the promotion announced its first batch of contracted independent talent under the new program.
With several stars getting their start in WWE through this program, it begs the question of who will be the next up-and-coming talent to sign.
Here are seven potential new WWE ID signings.
7. Zilla Fatu
The name that has been mentioned several times since WWE introduced its new program has been Zilla Fatu.
The Bloodline family member has been rumoured to sign with WWE since starting his pro wrestling career in 2023.
Fatu has the family background and ability to become an instant star due to the ready-made storyline waiting for him.
Getting more seasoning on the independent scene through Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling all before making the move to NXT may be the best way to truly prep Zilla for future success.
