The sixth annual AEW Revolution event is set to kick off the company’s pay-per-view calendar in style when it takes over the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, March 9.
While PPV events after Revolution will come thick and fast, AEW’s first event of the year has had an extended build since the year began and should see many of its more extended storylines reach their conclusion.
Many possibilities lie on the table for this Sunday, including some potential surprise returns – with several key stars not being seen at all in 2025.
Here are seven returns we could see at AEW Revolution 2025.
7. Wardlow
It has now been a whole year since we last saw Wardlow on AEW television, with very few updates on his status in the last 12 months.
While reports have suggested a serious knee injury is to blame for his extended absence the lack of information has naturally led to speculation regarding his future in the company, especially following the recent departures of other talents that had been off AEW TV for some time.
At the end of the day however, Wardlow is still signed to AEW and could feasibly show up as a surprise at Revolution, perhaps making his presence known in the match between MJF and Hangman Page, or even in an angle with former Undisputed Kingdom ally Adam Cole.
Wardlow’s history with Cole and especially MJF makes them both logical targets if/when he returns to AEW TV.
