WWE/AEW
While many fans always expect returns to take place at the Royal Rumble event, WWE has shown a tendency to also have some notable comebacks at their biggest PLE of the year, WrestleMania.
Following the grand return of Becky Lynch at last year’s show, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to see some big time returns take place back in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 42.
From legendary names coming back to injured stars recovering, there could be some truly memorable moments created by returning talent come this April.
Here are seven potential WWE returns at WrestleMania 42.
7. Chris Jericho

Following AEW Worlds End 2025, a new report circulated that Chris Jericho’s contract with the company was set to expire on December 31.
After months of rumors and speculation, it seemed that all signs were pointing to Jericho returning to WWE sooner rather than later.
Following some teases and reports indicating that he would come back on the January 5 WWE Raw, Jericho was nowhere to be found during the episode and has not been officially announced as an AEW departure as of this writing.
With all eyes set on Las Vegas this April, Jericho may wait for the biggest stage possible to make his return and come back at WrestleMania 42 to set in motion one final run with WWE.
