WWE
WWE has released multiple stars already this year, with groups of talents let go in both Febuary and May.
Both batches of releases included some surprising names, even including top-level talents on the roster.
Of the names released by WWE so far this year, here are seven of the most notable.
7. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman was released by WWE in May 2025, marking the second time he’d been let go by the company.
Strowman’s departure was reportedly down to the company deciding it ultimately wasn’t worth paying him what he was being paid given his standing.
Strowman is a former Universal Champion, having defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania in 2020, so any time someone of that level is released, it’s going to be notable.
Still set to air later this year is a series on USA Network that sees Strowman, while on the road for WWE, eat restaurants’ entire menus.
