This week’s WWE Raw saw former AEW star Penta finally debut for the company after the expiry of his AEW contract.
While Penta kicked off 2025 in a big way for new WWE recruits, the year promises to another year of free agent signings for both companies, with all eyes on which talent from either company could become available in the next 12 months.
While there’s always a good chance re-signings will take place throughout the year, it’s time to take a look at which stars from AEW are reportedly out of contract.
Based off reports from several outlets and admissions from talent themselves, here are eight AEW stars out of contract soon.
8. Maria Kanellis-Bennett
The first AEW deal seemingly expiring in 2025 is that of Maria Kanellis-Bennett, according to a recent report from Fightful Select.
Back in October, Kanellis-Bennett announced that her AEW deal was set to expire in October, and that she would be free to take bookings from December, however, according to this new report a short extension was agreed until January 2025.
Kanellis-Bennett joined AEW in 2022, initially debuting alongside her husband Mike Bennett and Matt Taven in The Kingdom, she would later also perform as a manager on ROH for the likes of Cole Karter and Griff Garrison.
It’s not yet known if the former WWE star will re-sign with the company at this time, having not appeared regularly on AEW or ROH TV in quite some time.
