8 AEW Stars To Sign With WWE NXT

8 AEW Stars To Sign With WWE NXT AEW, WWE

The rapid ascent of former AEW star ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page in WWE NXT has shown the effectiveness a change of scenery can have on someone.

Prior to his move to WWE, Page was languishing in Ring of Honor and barely featuring on mainline AEW TV, but what a difference a few months can make.

Following the success of Page, as well as other AEW stars that also arrived in NXT like Shawn Spears and Lexis King, it’s only natural that some may be tempted to follow suit.

Some stars that move from AEW to WWE would end up going straight to the main roster – as we’ve already seen with the likes of Jade Cargill.

However, for many others, a stop in NXT can prime them for the main roster and allow them to get familiar with the company’s way of doing things.

So, with that said let’s take a look at eight AEW stars who could sign with WWE NXT.

8. AEW Star Ricky Starks Joining WWE NXT?

AEW star Ricky Starks

Getting perhaps our most obvious choice out of the way first, ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks is someone who is reportedly “expected” to sign with WWE when his AEW deal runs out. The only question is, when?

No concrete info is currently known on this at present, but for Starks and his fans’ sake hopefully it comes around soon, as the former AEW World Tag Team Champion has barely featured on AEW TV whatsoever for the majority of 2024.

Starks is someone that screams WWE on many levels, and a move to WWE has always seemed like an option for him. His close friendship with Cody Rhodes only makes it seem even more likely than it already was, and it’s certainly not the only reason he’d be considered by WWE – he’s earned it in his own right, regardless of that relationship.

While much of the WWE audience will be familiar with his work and many would deem him main roster ready, there’s also an argument that starting off in NXT would be his best bet, and he could very easily reach the top of the brand in a similar fashion to Ethan Page when he does arrive. Especially with the move to The CW Network soon, Starks would be a great choice to be the face of the brand’s newest revamp.
