On the January 13 edition of WWE Raw on Netflix, former AEW star Penta made his debut with the company by defeating Chad Gable in singles action.
If the first two weeks of Penta’s WWE run is any indication, it shows that the company will value and push former AEW talent coming over in free agency.
From main roster talent like Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill to NXT stars such as Ethan Page and Lexis King, fans have seen that there is an opportunity to shine in WWE for former All Elite Wrestling performers.
Following the success of Penta’s debut, here are eight AEW stars to potentially join WWE.
8. Malakai Black
Following some interesting post-match comments from Will Ospreay to Buddy Matthews, the future of the House of Black were put into question in AEW.
During his three-year stint with All Elite Wrestling, Malakai Black was a former AEW World Trios Champion, but did not compete in many singles matches. Black spent five years in WWE where a lot of his success came under Triple H’s creative on the NXT brand.
Returning to WWE after nearly four years with AEW, Aleister Black should receive a push similar or even bigger than what Penta will achieve following his debut.
With the likes of Triple H and Paul Heyman in high positions of power in WWE, Black should be in line to face top stars like CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes upon his return.
