7. Mariah May vs. Jamie Hayter
At All In London 2024, Mariah May defeated Timeless Toni Storm to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.
This reign for May fell short of fans’ expectations thanks in large part to the focus not always being placed on the run and a lack of credible rivals.
One of the rivals that some fans were surprised never challenged for the title was Jamie Hayter.
At the same event that Mariah won the title, Hayter made her return to the company for the first time in over a year and should have gone after the AEW Women’s World Championship, but she instead got involved in a feud with Saraya that lasted a few months.
