On Saturday, January 31, WWE will present its first premium live event of the new year with Royal Rumble 2026.

While much of the focus will be on the Men’s and Women’s Rumbles, there should also be some other intriguing bouts on the lineup for sure.

From title matches to grudges being settled, the card for Royal Rumble 2026 has the chance to set the course for what should be a wild road to WrestleMania 42 this April.

Here are eight potential matches to be added to WWE Royal Rumble 2026.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn

On the January 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Randy Orton, Trick Williams, Damian Priest and Sami Zayn qualified for the number one contenders four-way match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The winner of that bout will then move on to face new Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for the gold at WWE Royal Rumble 2026.

With Saturday Night’s Main Event taking place in Montreal, Zayn has to be a favorite to win considering he will have home field advantage.

After picking up the victory, Sami Zayn has the opportunity to finally beat McIntyre and also become a world champion for the first time in his career in Saudi Arabia at WWE Royal Rumble 2026.
