The WWE Royal Rumble event has been synonymous with huge returns, more than any other in the company’s history.
Whether it be Triple H in 2002, John Cena in 2008, or Edge in 2010 and 2020, WWE has often saved a star’s comeback for the 30-man or 30-woman Rumble matches, with the format consistently making for moments that live on in the memory.
Perhaps more than any other year prior, WWE has an abundance of potential returns available to them should they choose to pull the trigger.
Here are eight WWE Royal Rumble 2025 returns we could see on February 1.
8. Charlotte Flair
With reports in recent months spelling out an “imminent” return for Charlotte Flair, some fans expected The Queen may show up at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere on January 6.
That would not come to pass in the end, leaving the Women’s Royal Rumble match the next most logical stage to see Flair step back between the ropes.
Having now been gone for well over a year, a surprise return would be among the most memorable in women’s Rumble match history and potentially setting Flair up nicely for a second win in the match.
This would not only make her the first female star to do so, but also leave her with an opportunity to edge closer to matching her father Ric Flair’s 16 world championships, with Flair currently on 14.
