The WWE of 2025 is completely different than what it was just five years ago with the company experiencing a renaissance of sorts under Triple H and Nick Khan.
From Endeavor purchasing the company in 2023, to TKO merger with UFC and Vince McMahon being removed from the company altogether, WWE has undergone more change since the Summer of 2022 than it had in its entire history prior.
With Triple H taking over as head of creative, WWE has seen several longstanding rules being changed before our eyes, which has helped improve the product and the culture overall.
Here are eight WWE rules changed by Triple H.
8. WWE Is Once Again “Professional Wrestling”
During his time in charge of WWE, Vince McMahon made “professional wrestling” a forbidden word, wanting to separate his company from the business it was in.
Referring to his genre of wrestling as “sports entertainment,” it became the norm to no longer hear wrestling used by the commentary and performers.
After Triple H took over creative, professional wrestling was finally back in WWE with WrestleMania 40 weekend using the term freely to the point that it is now used on a weekly basis.
This has helped hardcore fans to fully embrace WWE once again with acknowledgment of what it is actually is, without the awkwardness of using other terms trying to be used in the place of wrestling.
