The role of general manager has become a functional storyline tool for WWE programming over the past two decades.
Upon the original brand split back in 2002, the company introduced the concept of general managers as authority figures who were matchmakers and kept order on all three brands of the promotion.
Looking at the current WWE roster, there are several different stars who could potentially become general managers and maintain their characters to bring stability to Raw, SmackDown or NXT.
Here are eight WWE stars to potentially become General Managers.
8. Alexa Bliss
Back in 2018, Alexa Bliss was given the role of overseeing the Raw women’s division and showcased herself as an authority figure for the first time.
Since then, the former five-time WWE Women’s Champion has played a few different roles on the company’s programming from a manager to an in-ring competitor.
On the May 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Bliss made yet another return to the company for the first time since Elimination Chamber 2025 in March.
When she finally decides to hang her boots up, Bliss would not look out of place and has the experience to make a good general manager.
