From CM Punk’s return to wrestling in 2021, to Kenny Omega’s comeback from diverticulitis in 2024, AEW has seen many memorable returns that remain etched in fans’ memories.
Looking at the current state of AEW, there are various stars who have been absent or injured who could be set to make their return.
Here are nine AEW returns potentially coming soon.
9. Darby Allin
Back in December, The Death Riders brutally attacked Darby Allin backstage before throwing him down a flight of stairs.
This was used to write off the former two-time TNT Champion of AEW television so he could begin training for his climb up Mount Everest.
It was recently revealed that Allin has reached the summit of Mt. Everest after starting his climb in April.
With his expedition nearly being complete, it should only be a matter of time before Darby makes his return to AEW and get some revenge on Jon Moxley and The Death Riders.
