Retiring from the ring back in 2016 following his initial WWE departure, Wade Barrett is a rare case of someone who stepped away from the ring of their own accord, whilst also in their prime.
Barrett retiring voluntarily rather than being forced into it due to injury makes him someone fans have long speculated to return for quite some time, even if only for a Royal Rumble cameo.
At 44, Barrett is still younger than some of WWE’s big names such as AJ Styles, CM Punk and John Cena, so maybe a return on February 1 could open the door for one last run for Bad News Barrett.
