On Saturday, May 10, WWE will present its next premium live event with Backlash 2025 from St. Louis, Missouri.
With John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in a rekindling of their 25 year rivalry in the main event, this should be a highly anticipated show for the promotion.
However, there will also be several stars up and down the card who will be missing this major event for various reasons.
Ahead of the first PLE following WrestleMania 41, here are nine WWE stars to potentially miss Backlash 2025.
9. Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan has been among the most prominently female talent on the WWE main roster, especially over the course of the past year.
After capturing her fourth WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez on the Raw After WrestleMania 41, it would not have been surprising to see Morgan featured at the upcoming PLE.
However, Liv revealed to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that she needed some time off to begin filming on an upcoming Hollywood movie she will star in.
Granting her request, Aldis has all but confirmed that the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion will not be available for WWE Backlash 2025.
