As much success as a WWE star can have with a specific character, there will always be a time when re-invention is required.
While oftentimes a repackaging can be done to prevent an established star from becoming stale, there have been plenty other cases throughout WWE history where it can launch stars to heights far greater than their current booking – think Bradshaw’s transformation into JBL in 2004.
Whether it be a drastic character shake-up or just a change in attitude, here are nine current WWE stars to potentially be repackaged soon.
9. Xavier Woods
At a yet to be announced edition of WWE Raw this month, a special 10th anniversary celebration for The New Day will be held. Sadly for Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston this could not be landing at a worse time.
Safe to say the Power of Positivity has not been flowing through The New Day like it has the previous nine years, in fact the team has seemed on the verge of collapse for a while now.
Things seem to be purposely building to a big break-up at the 10th anniversary show, with Woods the one to pull the trigger.
While Kingston may keep a lot of The New Day’s material as a singles star, Woods will undoubtedly be in for a far more serious repackaging, setting up an exciting singles run for him at long last.
