6 AEW Stars To Return To WWE

Although signings have slowed somewhat in recent years, Tony Khan’s AEW roster still has a large presence of ex-WWE stars.

With Ricochet and MVP recently joining, and the likes of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin perhaps to follow that number could soon increase.

However, more names could be soon going the other way following the path of the likes of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Shawn Spears in moving back to WWE following their runs in AEW.

Here are six AEW stars to return to WWE.

6. Dustin Rhodes

On paper, Dustin Rhodes is perhaps closer to an AEW exit than any other on this list, due to the fact that his existing contract with the company is reportedly soon to expire.

While there has been some speculation recently suggesting Rhodes could re-sign with the company, no deal has been agreed just yet as far as we all know.

With Rhodes recently achieving great success in AEW in the form of winning both the ROH Tag Team and Six-Man Championships, it doesn’t seem like he’s got one foot out the door. So, a re-signing seems the more plausible of the two outcomes.

However, with his brother Cody Rhodes currently the face of WWE, Dustin’s links with a return are likely never going to dissipate completely. So, if the legendary star does in fact exit AEW it seems more than likely that WWE will be where he winds up.
