Following a year of highs and lows for AEW, the company has been consistent on adding stars to their already impressive roster.
From Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Mone to MVP and Bobby Lashley, AEW are adding some of the biggest free agents throughout 2024.
There are still plenty of talent from WWE, TNA Wrestling and the independent scene that could be next to sign with Tony Khan’s promotion, while AEW’s own stars need to be re-signed as well.
Here are seven new AEW signings.
7. Bryan Danielson
Since losing the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson has been absent from the company’s programming and has officially closed his full-time career.
However, “The American Dragon” announced on AEW television that his contract with the company expired on August 1 and had not re-signed.
Despite his full-time career coming to an end, Danielson has stated that he wants to continue to wrestle part-time in the future.
Danielson’s re-signing is also necessary for AEW due to his ties to the ongoing Jon Moxley and The Death Riders storyline.
