7 Potential New AEW Signings

7 Potential New AEW Signings AEW

AEW and WWE have both been busy in the free agent market in 2024, and it’s a matter of opinion which company has had the more successful year.

On paper, AEW’s signings of Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Mone are a definitive win for the company.

However, following the impressive performances of the likes of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Ethan Page – it’s easy to argue WWE’s acquisitions hold just as much promise.

This is especially true when you look at their latest acquisition Stephanie Vaquer, who despite reportedly having an offer from AEW, opted to sign with WWE and will join fellow new top international recruit Giulia on the NXT brand.

Despite WWE snapping up Vaquer, and AEW already having a stacked roster there are still plenty of stars available that they could sign. Here’s a rundown of seven notable names.

7. Ricochet

WWE star Ricochet

Arguably the highest profile AEW signing available to the company right now is former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Ricochet.

Ricochet departed WWE at the beginning of this month after opting to not not commit to a new deal in the company.

Despite being a Triple H favorite from the NXT black and gold days, Ricochet’s fortunes haven’t been overly great in recent years in WWE – consistently coming up short when it came to big victories.

This lack of success or consistent promo time made his exit not much of a surprise, and he is an example of someone who will likely fair much better in AEW.

He also has THAT ready made feud waiting for him when he does sign, with fans eager to see him run it back with old rival Will Ospreay. A big debut seems imminent and could come before the Summer is out.
