2025 has seen AEW seemingly change their philosophy when it comes to signing major free agent talent.
Only bringing in stars who truly want to be there and can provide significant depth to their roster, the company has acquired the likes of Speedball Mike Bailey, Megan Bayne, Kevin Knight and Josh Alexander in recent months.
Looking at the current free agent available, there could be any number of stars that can offer the promotion something new and different than anybody currently signed.
Here are eight potential new AEW signings.
8. Shotzi Blackheart
On May 2, it was revealed that WWE had released over a dozen different wrestlers from the main roster and the NXT brand.
Among the talent who departed the company was Shotzi, however, unlike many others her exit was due to the company opting not to extend her deal rather than being released.
After six years with WWE, Shotzi has made it clear that she is more than open to sign with All Elite Wrestling.
With her hardcore wrestling background and alternative look, Shotzi Blackheart is someone who could fill a spot anywhere in the AEW women’s division offering something completely unique in the process.
