AEW has had several big name departures in recent months.
The likes of Aleister Black, Rusev, Penta, Rey Fenix and more have all made the move from AEW to WWE this year.
Here are nine more AEW departures that have occurred so far in 2025. We wish them all the best in whatever their futures hold.
9. Mariah May
Despite being involved in the top women’s storyline in AEW history for her entire two-year tenure with the promotion, Mariah May left AEW upon the culmination of her feud with Toni Storm.
Having signed a two-year deal in 2023, May was brought in as Storm’s protege, who then turned on Storm to win the Women’s World Championship.
However, after their blowoff match at Revolution 2025, May never appeared on TV again, and a few months later, made her WWE debut on NXT.
She has since been renamed Blake Monroe, and has immediately been factored into the NXT Women’s Title picture.
