AEW
At AEW WrestleDream 2025, Darby Allin defeated Jon Moxley by making him say “I Quit” following a Scorpion Death Lock.
Following his loss, Moxley stated that he knew he was and what he had to do, but he proceeded to lose to Kyle O’Reilly by disqualification on the October 22 episode of AEW Dynamite.
After these failures and a seemingly breaking psyche for the former four-time AEW World Champion, fans might see Moxley replaced as the leader of the Death Riders sooner rather than later.
Here are seven potential AEW replacements for Jon Moxley as the new leader of the Death Riders.
7. Claudio Castagnoli

Since The Death Riders started, Claudio Castagnoli has stood by Jon Moxley’s side as his lead soldier.
Usually placed in front of those who Moxley considers a threat, Castagnoli has been “Terminator-like” in his approach to opponents since this faction started.
With his history with Moxley in the Death Riders and Blackpool Combat Club, it would make a ton of sense for Claudio to be chosen to replace him in a leadership position.
Castagnoli becoming the Death Riders leader could see him get the biggest push of his career and potentially propelled into the main event picture permanently.
