AEW
Coming up on August 24, All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling will present the fourth iteration of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
From the O2 Arena in London, England, this event should feature some spectacular matches and some surprises, which might come in the way of returns.
Looking at the AEW roster, there are quite a few stars who have been absent from the company’s programming for a variety of reasons who could make their way back for the huge event.
Here are nine potential returns at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025.
9. HOOK

Back at AEW Double Or Nothing 2025, HOOK made a brief return after several weeks on the shelf recovering from a concussion.
Coming out to attack Claudio Castagnoli during the Anarchy In The Arena, this brief appearance hasn’t led to a permanent comeback for the three-time FTW Champion.
In a recent interview, HOOK admitted that he is still recovering from the concussion and may be out a little while longer.
AEW Forbidden Door 2025 seems like an ideal spot for HOOK’s return, which could lead to him confronting his former stablemates in The Opps when the event from the O2 Arena takes place.
