AEW
On the September 9 Rebel Heart edition of AEW Dynamite, Steven Borden made his official in-ring debut, teaming with Darby Allin to pick up a win over The Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis and Josh Alexander.
Borden was featured throughout the show with a promo before his match and then appearing at the end of the show as well.
Now that he is part of the AEW roster, it should be interesting to see what’s next for the son of Sting.
Here are some potential AEW future plans for Steven Borden.
Alliance with The Young Bucks

During his promo on AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite, Steven Borden explained the moment where he wanted to become a pro wrestler was when Sting and Darby Allin won the AEW World Tag Team Titles and then were attacked by The Young Bucks.
Getting in the ring to protect his father, Borden was also attacked by The Bucks, which gave him the motivation to pursue this career.
Then, Borden and Allin made the save for The Bucks against The Don Callis Family and FTR to close the show.
After showing respect to one another, this could lead to Borden having a tentative alliance with Matt and Nick Jackson moving forward.
A romantic storyline with female star
Since he started making appearances on AEW TV, Steven Borden has captured the imagination of the female fanbase of the company.
Borden’s look and physique has garnered a lot of attention from the ladies who view All Elite Wrestling.
Seeing this and wanting to capitalize on this appeal, AEW could position Borden in a romantic storyline.
Pairing Borden up with a female star could be a great way for the company to allow the female fans to imagine themselves next to AEW’s newest heartthrob.
El Hijo del Sting

At AEW Revolution 2024, Steven Borden took part in the memorable final entrance for his father Sting.
Dressed as one of his father’s older looks and characters, it was the first sign that Borden had some potential inside the squared circle.
Since he started making regular appearances on AEW television, some fans have been wanting to see Borden embrace his father’s persona.
Becoming El Hijo del Sting would be a unique way to embrace his father’s legacy and give Borden a character that fans are likely to latch onto.
Enter the Continental Classic
If someone wants to prove themselves in AEW, there are several ways to do that.
At the end of the year, all eyes become set on the AEW Continental Championship with the start of the Continental Classic tournament.
Borden is looking to establish himself as an in-ring competitor and there might not be a better way to do that than entering the C2.
Borden facing some of the best AEW has to offer in the Continental Classic would be a fast track to cementing himself on the roster moving forward.
Winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships with Darby Allin

Following AEW All In London 2026, Darby Allin discussed wanting to team with Steven Borden.
Wanting a full circle moment, Allin wants to continue his partnership with the Borden family after being the final tag team partner for Steven’s father Sting.
Back in 2024, Sting and Darby captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships in the final month of the legend’s career.
Having to relinquish the gold, it feels appropriate if Darby Allin wanted to go after the gold again alongside Sting’s son this time around sooner rather than later.
