AEW has seen a lot of change throughout the first few months of 2025 with roster overhauls.
While the likes of The Lucha Brothers, Ricky Starks, Miro and Malakai Black have all left the company, the promotion has also picked up stars such as Megan Bayne, Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin “The Jet” Knight and Josh Alexander along the way.
Looking at the free agency market, there are several stars that AEW could have its eyes on that could help bolster the ever growing roster and bring something different to its programming.
Here are eight new potential AEW signings.
8. KUSHIDA
At the end of March, AEW CEO and President Tony Khan announced that NJPW star Kevin Knight had signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling.
Signing a dual contract with both AEW and NJPW, Knight has been able to appear weekly on the company’s programming ahead of his next tour for the Best of Super Juniors tournament with New Japan.
Knight’s tag team partner KUSHIDA also has a per appearance deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, which could open the door for him to sign a similar deal that his friend has.
KUSHIDA is a six-time IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion and one of the most decorated junior heavyweight wrestlers in the company’s history, so adding him to the AEW roster could help in multiple ways, including bringing the Intergalactic Jet Setters to the tag team division.

7. Donovan Dijak
Leaving WWE at the end of his contract in June 2024, Donovan Dijak has been on a tear across the independent scene and MLW.
Dijak has once again established himself as a consistently reliable in-ring performer who can also play any role up and down the card.
Signing with All Elite Wrestling, the former WWE star would fit in very well with the current crop of talent in the company.
Whether it be clashing with the likes of Powerhouse Hobbs or facing a top star like Will Ospreay, Dijak feels like someone who could become a standout on the AEW roster immediately.
