With his current AEW World Championship reign lasting over 220 days, Jon Moxley has long held a firm grip over the AEW roster.
However, all title reigns must come to an end eventually and someone will have to be the one to take down the leader of the Death Riders for the title and breathe new life into AEW’s main event scene.
Here are eight possible AEW replacements for Jon Moxley.
8. Swerve Strickland
Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland seemed like he was poised to be the one to finally take down Jon Moxley at last month’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view.
This was not to be however, as he like many others fell victim to the Death Riders, as well as the returning Young Bucks.
While there is no indication that Strickland will ever give up on reclaiming this AEW World Championship someday, it still seems possible that he could topple Moxley.
With plenty of closely guarded storyline pieces left to be put together ahead of AEW’s stadium event, AEW All In: Texas, perhaps it will be Swerve who takes down the Death Riders once and for all.
