Throughout the history of AEW, the company has made key acquisitions that have greatly bolstered its roster.
In 2025, AEW has acquired the likes of Josh Alexander, Megan Bayne, Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey – arrivals that have paid immediate dividends.
When looking at the current free agency market, there are a litany of stars who could have the same effect in helping add more depth to every division in the promotion.
Here are nine potential new AEW signings.
9. Cedric Alexander
A former WWE star who has strong ties on the AEW roster is former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander.
Spending nearly 10 years with the promotion, Alexander was released in February and has once again been making a name for himself on the indies.
When he was let go from WWE, fans immediately believed Cedric would be on his way to All Elite Wrestling thanks in large part to his former Hurt Business stablemates being with the company.
Considering Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP are in one of the most popular factions in the promotion, Alexander could walk into AEW and become the newest member of The Hurt Syndicate where he could add to the group’s workrate immediately.
