AEW Stars Joining WWE, WrestleMania 41 Plans & More WWE

A number of AEW stars appear to be leaving the company soon in favor of joining WWE, with Penta the latest example of that switch being successful.

We’re also approaching the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 41 season, which means the planned matches for Mania – or at least ones that have been discussed – are starting to become clearer.

Here’s a round-up of some of the big wrestling news stories right now, including which AEW stars could be joining WWE, a look at the planned WrestleMania matches, and more.

The Next AEW Stars To Join WWE

AEW stars Rey Fenix and Malakai Black, rumored to be joining WWE

WWE has made a big deal out of pretty much every former AEW star that’s made the switch, even the ones who have started out in NXT – Ethan Page won the NXT Championship just a couple of weeks after debuting, and Lexis King is the current Heritage Cup Champion.

As mentioned, Penta’s debut on WWE Raw was another instance of that, and it seems inevitable that his brother Rey Fenix will be joining him in a few months when his AEW contract comes to an end – he would have debuted with Penta, but AEW added injury time onto Fenix’s deal, thus preventing him from making the move at the same time.

The next AEW star that could show up in WWE is Malakai Black, who’s been written off AEW TV, with the rest of the House of Black now rebranded as the Hounds of Hell. There have been some rumors about Black retiring altogether, but as of a couple of years ago, he did want to go to WWE, so unless something’s changed in that time, it looks likely.

Ricky Starks is also on the list, as there continues to be no sign of him being used in AEW, for whatever reason. Starks has all the attributes to be a WWE star, and has good relationships with the likes of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk from their time in AEW, which can only be a good thing.
