Tony Khan has been the CEO, President and head of creative for AEW since the inception of the promotion.
While he has received help from a number of stars and creative team members, Khan has been the final say for any booking decisions for the company.
With it being six years since the start of the promotion, many fans believe that AEW should get a new individual at the top to provide fresh ideas for the stars and storylines.
If he ever decides to allow someone else to run creative while he continues on as promoter, here are seven potential AEW replacements for Tony Khan.
7. Sonjay Dutt
In 2021, Sonjay Dutt started with All Elite Wrestling as a backstage producer where he worked closely with the stars in putting together matches.
While he has also gone on to play an on-screen role as the manager of Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett and Satnam Singh, Sonjay Dutt has continued to contribute behind the scenes and started on the creative team.
With his experience working with AEW for the past four years, it would make sense that Dutt would be in consideration to become a replacement for Tony Khan as head of creative.
The former TNA X-Division Champion has decades of experience in the wrestling industry and might be helpful as being the lead voice in the creative room over Khan moving forward.
