All Elite Wrestling will return to pay-per-view with the Worlds Ends 2025 event on December 27 from Chicago, Illinois.

With this being the last major show of the year, there could be any number of notable returns that take place on that evening.

From long absent stars to returning talent from injury, these comebacks could potentially alter the entire landscape of the promotion moving forward.

Here are eight potential returns at AEW Worlds End 2025.

8. MJF

Back at AEW All Out 2025, Mark Briscoe defeated MJF in a Tables N’ Tacks Match. Since this loss, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been absent from the company’s programming due to his film commitments.

The former AEW World Champion has a guaranteed shot at the gold for his return thanks to his win in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In: Texas.

With the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale scheduled for the December 17 Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF could be on his way back for this bout, unless he’s waiting for the Worlds End event.

Waiting until the pay-per-view, MJF could bide his time to cash in his contract, making the scheduled three-way main event a four-way for the AEW World Championship on Saturday, December 27.
