2. A Clockwork Oversight
The main event of Extreme Rules ended up being the Thirty Minute Iron (Lead?) Man Match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, which was a surprise considering it was for IC Title and involved Ziggler.
Having a luke-warm feud with an attention-demanding match stipulation in front of a burn-out crowd inevitably meant the crowd started making their own fun by counting down with the timer on the TitanTron and singing the EHHHHHH noise like it was the Rumble. Eventually this started overshadowing the match so someone in the back disabled the timer . . . causing the crowd to chant it even more.
Both wrestlers’ frustrations were caught on camera as Ziggler bemoaned the lack of clock causing MORE chants. In fairness to Dolph, it’s been a while since he’s heard a crowd making noise.
