Botches Of The Week May 24, 2020

1. Everything’s Fine

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite could have gone better, to say the least.

After the main event of Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara, The Inner Circle and The Elite headed to the football field for a big ol’ brawl which saw The Young Bucks return at deliver crossbodies off the bleachers.

Except that’s hard-ass grass they’re landing on and due to the velocity and weak catch, Matt Jackson hurt his ribs and as I’m typing this it’s unknown if it will keep him out of this Saturday’s PPV or not.

2. Everything’s Fine (Part 2)

After the Orange Cassidy vs. Fenix match, all the participants in the Casino Ladder Match ran out for a bit of argy bargy. Fenix was in a good mood after vanquishing O.C. so he delivered a big ol’ flip to the other guys outside and well…

Somehow the four guys ended up being unable to catch him and poor Fenix ended up “banged up” according to reports. Luckily luchadores are made of lead so he’s going to be OK for the PPV.

3. Everything’s Fine (Part 3)

In the worst of the AEW Dynamite’s woes, Britt Baker teamed up with Nyla Rose to take on Statlander and Shida.

Mid-way through the match, Nyla was scooped up and dumped onto Britt who was in the corner and I guess she was supposed to land cannonball style onto Baker but ended up landing flat on Baker’s leg instead.

Sadly although Baker is booked for Double Or Nothing, AEW are saying she has a serious knee injury so don’t expect to see her wrestling on the PPV.

Oddly AEW still have the clip on their twitter in a “wow what a move” highlight.
