On the April 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho made his return to the company for the first time in a year.

Since then, Jericho has come back to a prominent role on AEW television over the past few weeks.

This would mean that Jericho should also be featured heavily at the upcoming AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view on May 24.

Here are eight potential Chris Jericho AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 opponents.

8. Ricochet

At AEW Dynasty 2026, Ricochet defeated Chris Jericho in what was one of the biggest wins since signing with All Elite Wrestling.

Then following this victory, Ricochet interrupted Jericho once again on the April 15 episode of AEW Dynamite.

This led to Ricochet and Gates of Agony jumping Jericho and laying him out in the process.

Considering their differences over the past few weeks, Jericho could challenge Ricochet to a rematch at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 to get his revenge after the loss at Dynasty.

7. The Demand (Ricochet & Gates of Agony)

Getting a win over Chris Jericho at AEW Dynasty 2026, Ricochet did not get the job done on his own.

Ricochet’s win at the pay-per-view came thanks in large part to his stablemates in The Demand.

Then, The Demand jumped Jericho in a three-on-one beatdown that proved that the inaugural AEW World Champion was severely outnumbered.

This could lead to Jericho recruiting some help to take on and take down The Demand in a trios match at the AEW Double Or Nothing event.

6. Jack Perry

At AEW Revolution 2026, ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry won the 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royale to win the AEW National Championship.

Since then, Perry has not backed down from a challenge and has defended his title successfully against Mark Davis on the AEW Dynasty 2026 Zero Hour pre-show.

To solidify his reign, Perry could look to defend his gold against a former AEW World Champion.

Jericho stepping up to face Perry for the AEW National Title at Double Or Nothing 2026 could be another way for ‘The Demo God’ to get under Ricochet’s skin since he was the inaugural champion.

5. Kevin Knight

Another champion who could be an opponent for Chris Jericho in the near future is Kevin ‘The Jet’ Knight.

At AEW Dynasty 2026, Knight won the Casino Gauntlet Match to win the vacant TNT Championship.

‘The Jet’ is now looking to prove himself as a fighting champion with a successful defense against Claudio Castagnoli under his belt already.

Facing one of the most decorated and iconic stars on the AEW roster, Knight could defend the gold against Jericho at AEW Double Or Nothing to test himself against one of the best to ever step inside the squared circle.

4. Andrade El Idolo

Ever since returning to All Elite Wrestling, Andrade El Idolo has been on a mission to cement himself as one of the best wrestlers in the world today.

While El Idolo has his sights set on the AEW World Title, he could establish himself as the next challenger for the top prize in the company against someone like Chris Jericho.

After suffering a loss against the new AEW World Champion Darby Allin at Dynasty 2026, Andrade could look to beat the inaugural champion in his next big matchup.

A win over Chris Jericho could be just what Andrade needs to reestablish himself as a top contender in the AEW World Title picture coming out of Double Or Nothing 2026.

3. Jon Moxley

One of Chris Jericho’s greatest rivals during his time with All Elite Wrestling has been Jon Moxley.

Back in 2020, Jericho’s reign as AEW World Champion came to an end at the hands of Moxley.

With history dating back to their time together in WWE, Moxley and Jericho are no strangers to one another and have clashed multiple times over the years.

Now that Moxley is the current AEW Continental Champion, Jericho might have extra incentive to rekindle this rivalry in a major way at the Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view.

2. Swerve Strickland

There are several top stars on the AEW roster that has never been able to clash with Chris Jericho inside the ring.

One of the biggest names in the company that has never faced Jericho one-on-one is Swerve Strickland.

Strickland has not been seen on AEW television since losing a number one contenders match to Kenny Omega in March and could return to another significant matchup.

Swerve returning to face Jericho at a huge show like AEW Double Or Nothing might be the right way for the former AEW World Champion to cement himself again as a top contender for the gold.

1. Kenny Omega

At AEW Dynasty 2026, MJF defeated Kenny Omega to retain the AEW World Championship.

This loss overwhelmed ‘The Cleaner’ and made him doubt himself on his journey to become a two-time AEW World Champion.

After a heart-to-heart with Will Ospreay after the pay-per-view, it seems like Omega has a little more faith and belief in himself than he thought.

To officially confirm himself back into title contention, Omega might have to avenge his very first loss in All Elite Wrestling from seven years prior against one of his greatest rivals in Chris Jericho at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 in New York City.
