Eight WWE Stars Who Should Breakout In 2021

It has felt like 2020, particularly the latter portion, has very much been a breakout year for Jey Uso, with the SmackDown star putting in exceptional performances each week on TV and having fantastic PPV matches with Roman Reigns.

With 2020 drawing to a close and 2021 right around the corner, we have decided to draw up a list of the eight WWE stars who have the potential to be the Jey Uso of 2021 and breakout into the main event scene.

If you think we have missed anyone off this list, then be sure to let us know in the comments on Twitter or Facebook.

8. Big E

We exclusively reported earlier this month that Big E was one of the names being considered for Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent in April, clearly proving that WWE has some aspirations for the former New Day man in 2021.

While it seems like Reigns will be facing Goldberg at WrestleMania 37 instead of Big E, this doesn’t mean that the former NXT Champion doesn’t have the potential to really break out into the main event scene next year.

Big E is charismatic as hell and will be a fantastic singles star with the hopeful return of crowds over the coming months. A big push and a feud with the Universal Championship at some stage next year, possibly even SummerSlam, could well be on the cards for the SmackDown star.

It’s time that WWE realises they have the potential to make a top star for years to come in Big E. Let’s hope that something changes and WWE starts taking him seriously as we head into the New Year.

7. Cedric Alexander

From a former member of New Day to a man that is currently feuding with the tag team, 2021 could also be a breakout year for Hurt Business member and former 205 Live star, Cedric Alexander.

The Cruiserweight has enjoyed a pretty good last few months on Raw flanked by MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, even picking up big singles wins over Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston over the last few weeks.

It appears as if WWE is positioning Cedric Alexander for a singles push, and hopefully if he does break away from Hurt Business over the coming months, it doesn’t spell the end for him as a regular fixture on Monday Night Raw.

Cedric is an exceptionally talented performer in the ring, and while he might not be the smoothest on the mic, he is more than capaeable of making it as a singles star, with there being a viable chance of that happening next year.
