After holding AEW World Title captive for over 220 days, Jon Moxley may still reign as champ, but all good things must come to an end.
While there is certainly no indication that Jon Moxley is set to stop performing anytime soon, he has amassed quite the list of potential final rivals in AEW if he were looking to step away.
Here are eight potential final AEW opponents for Jon Moxley.
8. Chris Jericho
One way to bring it back around to where Jon Moxley began in AEW would be to face off against Chris Jericho. While the pair can boast similar achievements, they have clearly gone about the direction of their characters in AEW in wildly different ways.
With Moxley establishing himself as a violent and gritty performer, seemingly bringing rebellious independent scene moments to the mainstream, Jericho has been a model of the opposite.
Bringing his own ‘sports entertainment’ skills with a tongue-in-cheek set of recent performances in AEW, Jericho has also been a foundational member of the AEW roster alongside Moxley.
It could be intriguing to see a dual retirement storyline between these two veterans, each looking to cement their own legacies.
