Five People WWE Should Consider For Final Money In The Bank Men’s Slot

Tonight on Raw, we will see a “last chance” gauntlet match to determine the final entrant into the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. This person will join Raw’s Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio, as well as SmackDown’s King Corbin, Daniel Bryan and Otis in this week’s ladder match.

The slot was originally Apollo Crews’, however, WWE pulled the former NXT star from the match on last week’s show due to injury. Crews’ removal will reportedly be the start of a heel turn for the Raw star, which will likely play out over the coming weeks.

Ahead of tonight’s Raw, we have compiled a list of the five wrestlers WWE should consider for the final slot. If you think we have missed someone out, please let us know on Twitter.

5. Andrade

Andrade might be the United States Champion right now, but a run with the WWE Championship is certainly in the future of the Mexican star. A run with the Money in the Bank briefcase could certainly be the start of a push right to the top for Andrade.

Drew McIntyre and Andrade have a pretty detailed past from NXT and even mixed it up on the main roster just a few weeks ago. The prospect of Andrade cashing-in Money in the Bank and taking the WWE Championship away from McIntyre, just as he did with the NXT Championship back in 2017, is certainly something I can get behind.

Andrade did not have a qualifying match for Money in the Bank, and a win in the gauntlet match tonight could be a perfect way to have Andrade go into the ladder match this weekend with a heap of momentum.

Andrade is a ready-made star, and Zelina Vega has been doing stellar work with her faction of handsome men since WrestleMania. Vega and Andrade would really suit a run with the Money in the Bank briefcase, making it an extremely exciting prospect.

4. Jinder Mahal

Could 2020 be the year that Jinder Mahal gets another shot at the WWE Championship? If it involves a feud with Drew McIntyre, I’m all for it.

When Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 last month, he followed in the footsteps of his 3MB stablemate Jinder Mahal in winning WWE’s top title. With such a rich history, could Mahal win the briefcase this year and start a feud with his former partner?

Mahal returned to WWE TV just last week, making light work of former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa. The ring announcer put over that Mahal is a former WWE Champion, something they very rarely do, so it seems like WWE wants their fans to see Mahal is a top star in the company moving forward.

Regardless of if he enters the Money in the Bank match by winning the gauntlet tonight, I think a feud with Drew McIntyre over the WWE Championship would be an interesting prospect for Mahal, so putting him over with a big win on tonight’s show could be a great way to start that.
