Five Possible Opponents For Goldberg At WWE Super ShowDown

3. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns will reportedly go one-on-one with The Fiend Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. In order to make him feel like a viable challenger, WWE needs to give Roman a big win or two on the “Road of WrestleMania”.

With his feud with King Corbin now seemingly over, it seems like Roman Reigns will be without an opponent for WWE’s Super ShowDown show in Saudi Arabia.

To give him some momentum ahead of WrestleMania, WWE could easily have Roman Reigns take on and ultimately defeat Bill Goldberg at Super ShowDown later this month.

Roman is a great worker and could carry Goldberg to a great match. A hard-hitting and fast-paced bout similar to Goldberg’s clash with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 would be really fun to watch.

2. King Corbin

There is no bigger heel on SmackDown right now than King Corbin. The former NXT star was humiliated last week at the hands of Roman Reigns and could do with a big feud to give him some much-needed momentum heading into WrestleMania.

Let’s say King Corbin kicks off SmackDown with a promo (something that he seems to do 99% of the time), then WWE could have Goldberg interrupt him, setting up the Super ShowDown match.

King Corbin doesn’t have to win, and he shouldn’t, but a feud with Goldberg could give him some much-needed momentum right now.

Corbin is actually a fairly decent worker with a pretty good moveset, a match with Goldberg won’t be as bad as many people probably think it will be, and is something WWE will likely be considering right now.

1. The Fiend

The match that WWE should 100% book for Saudi Arabia is Goldberg vs. The Fiend for the Universal Championship.

Goldberg could, like Kane a few weeks ago, open SmackDown with a promo. Then The Fiend could attack the WCW icon in the middle of the ring to set up the match.

The feud could be based around the fact that Goldberg hasn’t received a rematch for the Universal Championship he lost at WrestleMania 33 all the way back in 2017.

While the match probably wouldn’t be the greatest, it probably is the best use of both The Fiend and Goldberg to have this special attraction match between the duo in Saudi Arabia.
