Mustafa Ali has been off WWE television since November 2021 after a reported ‘heated argument’ with Vince McMahon regarding his creative direction.

Ali publicly requested his WWE release back in January, which WWE did not grant. It seemed to appear as though Ali would be forced to sit out the remainder of his WWE contract.

However, WWE has reportedly been pitching ideas for Ali’s return to television, with him possibly being set to return as early as tonight’s (April 25) episode of Monday Night Raw.

There are several options for WWE on how to bring him back; will they just slide him on the show to no fanfare and hope people forget, or will they capitalise on the attention and goodwill he has garnered over recent months.
