While AEW’s earlier years saw an influx of former WWE stars joining the company, the more recent trend has seen more ex-AEW stars head for WWE.
With legendary examples like Cody Rhodes and CM Punk to more recent arrivals like Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe – there may be more stars making a similar jump in the near future.
Here are five more former AEW champions that could be poised to sign with WWE.
5. Chris Jericho
Although it seems odd to consider since Chris Jericho was a foundational member from the debut of AEW – but he could absolutely return to WWE.
While he would be an obvious induction into the WWE Hall of Fame – it is unlikely that career achievement will occur while he is still signed with AEW.
Perhaps willing to consider the move when his current contract with AEW ends – reportedly in December 2025 – he may be looking to explore a nostalgic return for a farewell tour of his own like Goldberg and John Cena.
Given the increasing rejection by much of the AEW faithful before he wrote himself off of TV in a fit of rage in April – perhaps this idea isn’t as wild as it seems.
