Former AEW Stars To Re-Sign With The Company

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been quite active in the free agency market throughout the year of 2026.

From Tommaso Ciampa and Lena Kross to The Rascalz and The Dogs, these talents have added a great deal to the promotion, but there could be some former AEW stars who make their way back in the near future.

From day one AEW originals returning to those who took time away and deciding to re-sign, these new additions might bring something new and different from what they previously offered to the company.

Here are seven former AEW stars who could potentially re-sign with the company.

7. The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

At ROH Supercard of Honor 2026, Alec Price and Jordan Oliver issued an open challenge to anyone in the Ring of Honor tag team division.

Answering this open challenge was none other than multi-time ROH World Tag Team Champions The Kingdom.

Mike Bennett and Matt Taven made it clear that they were back to face off with Bustah and The Brain, but they could make their presence felt in All Elite Wrestling as well.

The Kingdom returning to AEW TV would be a nice addition to the ever growing tag team scene and offer another duo with plenty of experience.

6. Marko Stunt

At the GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break X event, Marko Stunt made his in-ring return, teaming with ‘Jungle’ Jack Perry to defeat KJ Orso and Sam Stackhouse in tag team competition.

Since then, Stunt has been booked for several different independent shows and displaying what has always made him a fun performer.

Stunt has always stood out for his small stature and speed inside the squared circle throughout his career, previously working in All Elite Wrestling for over three years.

Making a return to AEW, Stunt could come back to the promotion and reunite with Jurassic Express in the near future.

5. Bea Priestley

Bea Priestley was one of the first female stars signed to All Elite Wrestling when the company was first created.

Despite being one of the originals, Priestley’s run in the promotion was brief, only lasting one year before she went on to sign with WWE.

Becoming Blair Davenport, Priestley was in the company for four years, but she was then released from WWE in February 2025.

While she has made her return to STARDOM in Japan, Priestley could sign a dual contract with AEW since the two promotions are partners and will come together for the co-promotional Forbidden Door event.

4. Maki Itoh

 

At the start of 2026, Maki Itoh left Tokyo Joshi Pro and made her way to World Wonder Ring STARDOM.

Quickly emerging as one of the most popular stars in the promotion, Itoh feels like someone who should be a major part of STARDOM moving forward.

Back in 2020, Maki Itoh made her debut with All Elite Wrestling and made an impact, drawing a lot of fans thanks to her eccentric personality.

Itoh becoming the latest star to sign a dual contract with AEW along with her STARDOM deal would be intriguing and lead to her finally finding a role in the United States moving forward.

3. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)

Another pair of special guests that have made appearances in All Elite Wrestling in the past are The Good Brothers.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are a duo that have found success in nearly every promotion they have stepped foot in.

While under a TNA Wrestling contract, Gallows and Anderson became a regular part of AEW programming alongside Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks as The Super Elite.

Despite currently being active in the US with MLW and in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH, The Good Brothers might make their way back to AEW where they could mix it up with all the top duos like The Young Bucks and FTR.

2. KJ Orso

In 2021, Fuego Del Sol signed with All Elite Wrestling in a memorable moment on the first episode of Rampage.

Over a three-year stint with the company, Fuego was under-utilized before leaving when his deal expired.

Since leaving AEW, Fuego has reinvented himself to KJ Orso and became one of the most prominent stars on the independent scene.

After proving himself in promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, Orso could make his way back to AEW where he can play a more pivotal role in the near future.

1. Aleister Black

On April 24, WWE announced its latest round of talent cuts with Aleister Black being one of the biggest names released from the company.

Black had left All Elite Wrestling after a four-year run with the promotion and re-signed with WWE in 2025.

Then not even a year later, the former AEW World Trios Champion is set to become a free agent after his non-compete clause expires.

Black returning to AEW should be extremely interesting and could lead to some new feuds as well as stories where he can get a fresh start in the company.
