Former WWE Champions To Sign With AEW

Former WWE Champions To Sign With AEW WWE/AEW

Since the inception of AEW in 2019, the company has acquired several different WWE champions to bolster their roster.

From legends like Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson to the likes of Bobby Lashley, Ricochet and Mercedes Mone, these talents have helped to make one of the more stacked rosters in pro wrestling today.

The current free agency market looks to be filled with stars who have held WWE championship gold in the past and could be slotted into a major spot over in AEW at any point.

Here are seven former WWE champions to potentially sign with AEW.

7. Cedric Alexander

Former WWE star Cedric Alexander

Ever since being released from WWE in February, Cedric Alexander has been mentioned many times as a name that could make his way to All Elite Wrestling.

Just based on his in-ring ability, Alexander feels like someone who would be a fitting name to add to the promotion that prides themselves on being “Where The Best Wrestle.”

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion also has strong ties to one of the most popular and prominently featured factions in the company with The Hurt Syndicate.

Thanks to this connection to MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, Cedric could walk into AEW and immediately align with his former Hurt Business stablemates on day one.
