Former WWE Champions To Join AEW

Throughout the history of the company, AEW has had several former WWE champions who have walked in and gained success under their banner.

From Jon Moxley to Bobby Lashley, these stars who have captured the top prize in WWE have been able to achieve a level of the same greatness in Tony Khan’s promotion.

When looking at the WWE roster or the free agency market, there is the opportunity for more former champions to come into the company in the near future.

Here are seven former WWE Champions to potentially join AEW.

7. Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal)

Since being released from WWE in April 2024, Jinder Mahal has tried to reignite his passion outside of the company.

Appearing for various promotions such as Maple Leaf Pro and GCW, Mahal, real name Raj Dhesi, has shown that he will not rest on his laurels moving forward.

While Dhesi has not found a home yet, it doesn’t seem out of the realms of possibility that fans could find an odd pairing of the former WWE Champion coming into All Elite Wrestling.

Dhesi could offer something unique that isn’t often seen in AEW by using his experience and impressive physique to separate himself immediately in the company upon signing.
