While there have been many new faces signing with WWE in 2025, there has also been a fair few familiar ones making their returns.
Singles stars such as Rusev and Aleister Black have made an impact since returning post-WrestleMania 41, however, there are also names who previously had great tag team success in WWE who could be in line for a comeback.
Here are six former WWE Tag Team Champions that could potentially re-sign with the company.
6. Billy Gunn
Billy Gunn is a unique case of someone under contract with WWE and AEW at present. While his WWE deal is only a merchandising contract (which explains his WWE 2K25 inclusion as a DLC character), he is still under an actual full-time contract with AEW.
While Billy Gunn continues to appear on AEW TV in support of former Acclaimed partner Anthony Bowens, his real-life sons Austin & Colten Gunn have been absent.
Colten & Austin Gunn’s AEW contract details are not publicly known, although they did reportedly sign ‘multi-year deals’ in February 2023.
Given Billy Gunn’s significant history in WWE and Triple H, there is definitely a foundation there for a future that could see all three Gunns in WWE one day in the next few years.
